Residential Student Meal Plan Options

At the beginning of the academic year, each residential student chooses a meal plan. All participants pay the same rate of $1,802 per semester. The non-refundable balance, or difference in cost between the $1,802 rate and the option chosen, will be placed in the declining balance account called “Bulldog Bucks.” (See schedule below.) At the student’s discretion, this account may be used for purchases of additional meals in the Hamlin Dining Hall or purchases in Bully’s Grill.

Commuter/Part-Time Student Meal Plan Options

In partnership with Aramark Educational Services, L.L.C. (food and facility services for the College), we are pleased to announce meal plan options for our non-residential students. It works basically the same as the traditional plans for the residential student. The student will choose a meal plan from the schedule listed below. The non-refundable balance, or difference in cost of the chosen option, will be placed in the declining balance account called “Bulldog Bucks.” Bulldog Bucks can be used in the Hamlin Dining Hall or used for purchases in Bully’s Grill.

There are a couple of differences between the residential plans and the commuter / part-time plans. These differences are as follows:

  • Additional plans can be purchased during a term.
  • The plan selected at the beginning of the term can be included as part of the student’s payment plan. Additional plans must be paid in full at time of request.

Campus Dollars

Barton offers another declining balance account called “Campus Dollars.” This account functions basically as a debit card. Funds placed in this account can be used for purchases in the Bookstore, Hamlin Dining Hall, or Bully’s Grill. The student’s identification card and the Scan Plus program track purchases while reducing the respective balances.

The minimum initial deposit required for this account is $100. Subsequent deposits may be made during the year. The funds placed in this declining balance account are refundable per student request at the end of the academic year.
