INTRAMURAL SPORTS
Intramural Sports Cup
Teams competing for the Intramural Sports Cup must have a complete roster form turned in before the start of each sport or before they can start gaining Cup Points.
Once a roster form is turned in players on that team must stay on that team in order to gain points. If a player leaves that team he/she will not be able to gain anymore Cup Points.
Free Agents may be picked up anytime during the school year and compete for team Cup points. That player must remain with that team for the rest of that event’s timeline.
All team sports and/or events have points associated with them and at the end of the year the team with the most points will be awarded the Intramural Sports Cup.
Intramural Sports Cup Points are awarded to the top 10 teams for each sport and/or tournament. The point system is as follows:
| PLACE | POINTS | |
| 1st | 100 | |
| 2nd | 90 | |
| 3rd | 80 | |
| 4th | 70 | |
| 5th | 60 | |
| 6th | 50 | |
| 7th | 40 | |
| 8th | 30 | |
| 9th | 20 | |
| 10th | 10 |
That team can keep the Intramural Sports Cup until another team wins it. (If the Cup is lost, there will be a $200 fine.)
For individual events, teams can enter as many people as they wish in that event, but only the top five on a team can place for points. (For example, a golf tournament or the 5K race.)
For sports with different categories such as tennis (singles, doubles) points will be awarded for each category. For example, first place in singles tennis gets 100 points, and first place in doubles gets 100 points, and so forth.
