COURSE OBJECTIVES
The successful student will be able to:
- Demonstrate
an understanding of the scope, development, and growth of the Internet.
- Demonstrate
an understanding of the various legal, economic, technological, political,
behavioral, ethical, and access issues associated with the Internet.
- Demonstrate
an understanding of the various Internet protocols and how they operate.
- Demonstrate
an understanding of the concepts of (as well as utilize) electronic mail,
remote logins, file transfers, information services, and discussions
groups.
- Actively
engage with classmates through Blackboard Discussion Board.
- Save,
print, mail, bookmark items from the World Wide Web.
- Submit
assignments through Blackboard Digital DropBox.
- Use
a variety of search engines to discover information on the World Wide Web.
- Demonstrate
proper network etiquette.
- Subscribe
to a listserv.
- Create
an html document.
