FORMAT OF CLASS

Distance learning or distance education takes place when a teacher and student(s) are separated by physical distance, and technology is used to bridge the instructional gap (Willis, 1994). CIS 350 will be delivered via the Internet.

In lieu of traveling to and from and attending class, learners will

• read assigned text chapters,
• surf the Net for additional information,
• write weekly assignments and papers and submit via Blackboard Digital DropBox,
• send and receive electronic mail,
• participate in interactive discussions through Blackboard Discussion Board,
• access files on the World Wide Web.
