Admission Process
1. Application
Submitting a completed online application is the first step. The online application is available here.
2. Testing
Have you taken the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or the Miller Analogies Test (MAT) within the last five years? If not, you’ll need to do so since the scores from one of these tests are required for acceptance into Barton’s graduate program. In addition, if English is not your native language, you will also need to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). The preceding links will direct you to the appropriate testing web sites.

3. Transcripts and Teaching License
Next, send us a copy of your teaching license for elementary education. In addition, please contact the registrar’s office of the institution that granted your undergraduate degree and request an official transcript be sent to:

4. Recommendation
Finally, Barton’s admissions office requires a recommendation from the administrator of the school in which you teach. Barton College’s online Graduate Study Recommendation Form is available here.
