FAFSA Information

In order to be considered for Summer School financial assistance, you must have a completed FAFSA form and all requested documents on file with the Financial Aid Office. Click here to apply for summer financial aid.

Summer aid awards (including loans) will not be added to student accounts until grades have been checked. Students who fail to make satisfactory academic progress as outlined in the College catalog will be ineligible to receive any financial aid during the summer or any other term until satisfactory progress has been reestablished.

Your financial aid is awarded based on the number of hours you indicated on your application. If your hours change in any way, it is your responsibility to notify our office immediately so that we may make the necessary adjustments to your aid package. If you have been awarded aid based on enrollment for first and second sessions, and you do not return for the second session, your aid will have to be adjusted and you may owe the Business Office additional funds. It is extremely important that you stay in contact with our office so that you will know the implications of any change in your schedule.

In order to receive financial aid, you must be enrolled and attend at least one credit hour in the first session and a total of at least six credit hours for both sessions.

The financial aid listed on your award letter is for both sessions of summer school. There is no grant money available for the second session alone, and there will be no increase in the amounts listed because all available funds have been allocated.

If you indicated on your application that you were interested in Stafford loans, then we will include the amount that you are eligible to borrow. If you indicated that you were interested in Stafford loans and no loan amount has been awarded, then you do not have any eligibility available for the summer sessions. But, you may still be eligible for alternative loans.
