Dr. Rodney Werline, professor of religion and philosophy, is the author of two books: Pray Like This: Understanding Prayer in the Bible (T&T Clark, 2007) and Penitential Prayer in Second Temple Judaism: The Development of a Religious Institution (Society of Biblical Literature, 1998). He is the general editor for the “Early Judaism and Its Literature” series for the Society of Biblical Literature, and he has also been a co-editor of six volumes of collected essays. Werline’s scholarship focuses primarily on religious experience in early Judaism.
