Dr. Justin Lee, assistant professor in the School of Social Work, joined the Barton College faculty at the beginning of fall 2011. Previous to this appointment, he taught in Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Social Work while finishing his dissertation research in the area of immigrant and refugee development and acculturation. Lee maintains an active research and publishing agenda in the areas of acculturation during adolescent development, intergenerational relationships, university/community collaboration, and research methods. He currently serves as the faculty advisor to the Hamlin Society—a student service organization on campus—and teaches in the core curriculum and social work major courses.
