Dr. Ann Carper serves as Assistant Professor and Director of the Master of Education Program at Barton College. She joined the Barton faculty in 2011 after 30 years in public education where she was a teacher, school administrator and district curriculum director. As Director of the Master’s Program, she facilitates the transformation of novice teachers to master teachers and teacher leaders. Her special interests are reading, literacy, and assessment. She also has instructed numerous teacher cohorts from several school districts in the area of education for gifted students. She has been a co-presenter in workshops for Developing Professional Learning Communities and for Total Quality Education.
