Who We Are
The Barton Society was developed to recognize those contributors who have played a significant rolein the success of the College. These individuals share the vision of Barton College and believe so strongly in its mission that they are willing to make a contribution of $1,000 or more within a fiscal year (July 1 – June 30). They see the important role that Barton College plays in people’s lives, and the impact the College has in the region.
Benefits of Membership
Here, Barton Society members are considered special friends. Among the privileges associated with membership are invitations to annual member events and programs throughout the year. Your Barton Society membership is good for a period of one year, and members receive the following:
- Invitations to annual Society events and campus programs
- Recognition in the annual honor roll of donors
- Subscription to Scope, the school’s alumni and friends magazine
- Special Barton Society insignia pin
Your Support Changes Lives
Your gift enables Barton to continue to provide the kind of quality education that began more than a century ago. Contributions to Barton College make it possible for academically talented and deserving students to receive an outstanding education and help ensure that our faculty and staff have the necessary resources to serve those students. You can designate your gift to any school or program, or leave it unrestricted to allow the college flexibility in directing funds where they are most needed.
Our success at Barton College has been, and always will be a result of the generosity of extraordinary people. Committed individuals laid the groundwork for AC College and for Barton. Our first 100 years are a testimony of that commitment. Building upon our firm foundation of academic excellence and tradition, Barton is positioned to fulfill our role as a regional leader in higher education. We invite you to join us in this challenge. We invite you to join us as a member of the Barton Society.

“In life, there are some debts that can never really be repaid. The difference that Barton College has made in many of our lives is one shining example. We can never fully repay that debt; however, we can be good stewards, honoring those who came before us, while ensuring that the same opportunity is afforded to those who come after us.”
