Welcome, CLASS of 2015 and NEW STUDENTS!
So, you're headed to college; but what now?Barton College's New Student Orientation Sessions are a wonderful opportunity to get these and many more questions answered. And, there is no better campus than Barton to inspire your future!
Getting Started!
Simple Steps to Register for an Orientation Session- Submit your advance tuition deposit to the Office of Admissions.
- Submit your FAFSA online prior to Orientation.
- Complete these forms before Orientation. You may submit them prior to or during your Orientation session.
- Complete the appropriate Orientation Registration Form (Freshman | Transfer).
- Mark your calendar for these important dates:
- Freshman Move-In:
- August 18 (for Session I & II attendees)
- August 17 (for Session III attendees)
- Transfer Move-In:
- August 18 (for May Transfer Session attendees)
- August 17 (for Session III attendees)
- Welcome Weekend: August 18-22
- First Day of Class: August 22
- Family Weekend: September 23-25

Orientation
Barton College's Orientation Sessions are designed to help students and families become acclimated to our institution, expose new and transfer students to broad educational opportunities, and integrate our students and families into collegiate life.During the two-day sessions, you will have the opportunity to meet some of your future classmates, friends, faculty, staff, and administration. You will be introduced to the academic programs and services provided by Barton College, such as academic advising, placement tests, and support services, all of which are an integral part of learning about a new place and a new experience. Additionally, an Orientation Leader will assist you in finding your way around campus and meeting new people.
