Welcome, BULLDOG CLASS of 2012!

Our 2008 Orientation theme is New Beginnings, Endless Opportunities, and we believe that incoming students at Barton College have just that! As you begin your journey through college, you’ll have the chance to experience many opportunities.  What to study, where to live, whom to associate with, and how to get involved are a few of the exciting questions that await you. And there is no better or more intimate campus than Barton to inspire your future. Welcome to Barton!

Orientation

Barton College’s Orientation Sessions are designed to help students and families become acclimated to our institution, expose new and transfer students to broad educational opportunities, and integrate new and transfer students and families into collegiate life.

During the two-day sessions, you will have the opportunity to meet some of your future classmates, friends, faculty, staff, and administration. You will be introduced to the academic programs and services provided by Barton College, such as academic advising, placement tests, and support services, all of which are an integral part of learning about a new place and a new experience. Additionally, an Orientation Leader will assist you in finding your way around campus and meeting new people.

Getting Started!

Simple Steps to Register for an Orientation Session

1. Send your advance tuition deposit to the Office of Admissions.
2. Submit your FAFSA online prior to Orientation.
3. Complete these forms before Orientation. You may submit them prior to or during your Orientation session.
   
   • Health Form
   • Housing Forms
   • Payment Agreement Form (Individual consultations will be available with members of the Business Office during Orientation.)
4. Complete the appropriate Orientation Registration Form (Freshman | Transfer).
5. Mark your calendar for these important dates:
   
   • New Student Move-In: August 20, 2008
   • Welcome Weekend: August 21-25, 2008
   • First Day of Class: August 25, 2008
   • Family Weekend: September 26-28, 2008
