MISSION STATEMENT

The Barton College Athletic Training Education Program supports the College mission by providing Athletic Training students with opportunities for intellectual, spiritual, social and cultural development. A strong liberal arts core, followed by a rigorous, quality academic program in a supportive, encouraging environment, is offered to qualified students.

Faculty and approved clinical instructors are committed to providing students with cutting edge knowledge and skills necessary to help prevent, recognize, evaluate, treat and care for the physically active; including administrative skills related to these areas. Students receive opportunities for engaged learning, both clinical and didactic, in a variety of settings.

This program, along with completion of the BOC examination, prepares future professionals for employment as successful entry level certified athletic trainers who are committed to a lifetime of leadership and service in a variety of allied health settings.
