Assistant Professor of Accounting

The School of Business at Barton College invites applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track, assistant professor position in accounting beginning fall 2013. Responsibilities include 24 credits of teaching in the traditional and Accelerated Professional Programs, academic advising, scholarship, and service on school and college committees. Expected teaching areas include the full range of accounting courses including principles, intermediate and advanced finance, cost, auditing, tax, nonprofit, and legal environment. The College holds its faculty to a high standard of teaching excellence, commitment to serving students, and professional contributions to their discipline.
Qualifications: a Master of Accountancy or a Master of Business Administration degree including 18 graduate hours in accounting, an active Certified Public Accountant license, and at least two years of appropriate teaching experience.
